# That AI answer sounds a bit off. What now?

Ask it to explain, give it the missing detail, or look up the one thing that matters. You can keep the conversation going.

## Start with the bit that feels wrong

Maybe the recipe uses an ingredient you never mentioned. Maybe the answer sounds much too certain. You can reply: “Where did that come from?” or “That isn’t what I meant.”

You don’t have to start over. Point to the sentence and ask it to explain.

## Give it the missing piece

Sometimes the answer is off because the AI doesn’t know your situation.

“I’m in Taiwan, so use examples I can find here.”

“This is for a ten-year-old. Can you explain it more simply?”

“I meant a weekend trip, not a whole week.”

See whether the next answer is closer to what you need.

## Check the detail that could spoil your plans

If you’re collecting dinner ideas, you can pick what sounds good. If you’re about to travel across town for a restaurant, open its listing to see whether it’s actually open.

The same goes for an event date or a ticket price. Check the detail you’re going to act on. An AI answer can get these things wrong, even when it sounds confident.

## Ask for something you can use

Try “Show me a simple example” or “Explain how you got that number.” If it gives you a link, open it when you want to know more.

And if the answer keeps going in circles, try another way of asking—or leave that conversation and move on. You’re looking for help with your day, not a debate to win.
