## What’s different?

Usually, you open an AI app and ask a question. Anthropic says Claude Duet can come to you first: bring you a morning brief, flag something that needs attention, and keep working on tasks while you’re away.

Announced on October 21, Duet is a separate app for iOS and Android, with web access too.

## Why might you want that?

Think about the bits of your day that are easy to lose track of: an upcoming meeting, something you meant to follow up on, or information scattered across apps.

Our take: a short “here’s what needs you today” message could be more useful than another place you have to remember to check. How well Duet chooses those moments is something we’d want to try.

## Can you get it?

The research preview starts with US Pro and Max subscribers through a waitlist. It’s included in those plans. The [Duet announcement](https://claude.com/resources/articles/claude-duet) has the signup link.

For readers in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Canada, this initial US access matters: having a subscription doesn’t mean the preview is ready for your account.

We haven’t tried Duet yet. If you get access, a daily briefing is one possible place to start; tell it to ask before sending messages or changing plans.
